I'm building it up, brick by fragile brick, knowing that every step brings me closer to the inevitable fall..

Some of us are meant to rise only to shatter on impact,
destined to crumble back into the dust we came from.

And yet, I keep building, drawn by the cruel hope that this time it might be different.
But the cracks are always there, lurking beneath the surface, 
waiting for the moment I convince myself it's solid - before it all comes crashing down, burying me into my own making..
